Sept.07- Sept.13th Sunday-Saturday Daily Devotionals & Reflections
Gathering thoughts that please God is a task we need to do daily and with intention. We are responsible for the thoughts that we allow to have real estate in our minds. We can allow the different opinions or ideas to cloud our thoughts when we listen to the outside noise instead of listening to the word of God. To have thoughts that please the King of kings we are to be rooted in the word and know what he says about us, to us and what belongs to us. This will help us center our thoughts on the truth and reality we have in Christ Jesus. So think on and of the truths spoken over you by your Heavenly Father in the scriptures and remind yourself daily what you haven been given and what you're believing to come to pass.
Sunday: Philippians 4:8 ESV
“Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.”
Reflection: Are your thoughts reflecting these things according to the 4th chapter in Philippians?
Monday: Romans 8:5-6 ESV
“For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit set their minds on the things of the Spirit. For to set the mind on the flesh is death, but to set the mind on the Spirit is life and peace.”
Reflection: are you living according to the Spirit & setting your mind on the things of the Spirit?
Tuesday: 2 Corinthians 10:5 ESV
“We destroy arguments and every lofty opinion raised against the knowledge of God, and take every thought captive to obey Christ, ”
Reflection: Are you taking every thought captive to obey Christ (the word of God)? If it doesn't reflect God’s word and will for your life then cast it out of your mind and send it to the abyss where it belongs.
Wednesday: Psalm 139:17 ESV
“How precious to me are your thoughts, O God! How vast is the sum of them! ”
Reflection: Have you pondered God's wonderful thoughts today? Have you asked Him what is on his mind?
Thursday: Colossians 3:2 ESV
“Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth. ”
Reflection: Is your mind set on the things above?
Friday: Ephesians 4:23 ESV
“and to be renewed in the spirit of your minds, ”
Reflection: Are you allowing the Spirit to renew your mind daily through the scriptures? Have you read what you have access to according to Ephesians Chapter 4?
Saturday: Romans 12:2 17:22 ESV
“Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect. ”
Reflection: Are you renewing your mind daily in the word of the Lord?
Salvation Prayer:
If you want the Holy Spirit and want to be a child of the Most High God, Pray this sincerely: Heavenly Father, I believe you sent the Lord Jesus Christ to die for my sins and that He rose to life on the third day so that I may be purified and redeemed. I receive your Son Jesus Christ into my heart and the gift of the Holy Spirit, I ask you to make me new and show me all the truth you provide, Amen!
Romans 10:9 “ that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.”
